Dont use it, it has iodine added.


Use regular aquarium salt.

Use proper aquarium salt. You can use some purer salts during an emergency (I've forgotten if it's rock or sea salt), but it's probably not advisable unless you really have to.

ohh a brackish tank. just checking, theres a couple situations when to use aquarium salt, like treating infections, nitrites, and ich, and when to use ocean salt. I think for brackish fish you would be better off with oceanic salt, it contains much more minerals and such, it will raise your ph to the proper level. in the wild, brackish fish live in estuaries where freshwater streams and rivers meet the ocean, so oceanic salt will be the most natural to them.

you could put that in your signature by going to your user control panel. its alot easier than typing that in every time you make a post, a signature will automatically put that in under everything you say in every post.

I noticed it wasnt a signature because it doesnt have the solid black line, and I could see it when making the post.

I have used plain table salt before with no problems for treatment of disease and such. But it has to be "plain" or "non-iodized" salt. Regular table salt contains iodine which will kill fish.
