fetching cat

I noticed a couple weeks ago that my youngest cat, Sebastian, would carry his toys around wherever he went. I decided, since I have a fetch obsessed dog, to throw the toy for him and see what he would do.. I wasn't surprised when he ran over to it, but I was suprised when he picked it up right away, and brought it back to me.. He didn't drop it, but he layed down in front of me with it in his mouth. i took it and threw it again, and he did the same thing. it is so cute!! he fetches all day now.. sometimes he will actually lay in front of me with his toy in his mouth waiting for me to throw it for him.

My kitty Kiara used to do this when she was young. Not anymore though, shes got a "nervous condition" and is afraid of everything.

thats cute... my cat has a habit of carrying her toys around in her mouth so i am actully trying to teach her to play fetch (she just gets a lil distracted)

I have 4 6 month old kittens and 2 out of four do that behjavior and they actually drop it at your feet and wait....
