my green cheek would not have anything to do with fruits or veggies, so the pet store told me to take away her seeds and pellets and any other treats during the day, and give her nothing but fruits and veggies. cut them into small bites. If their hungry they will eat it. give back regular food in the morning and night. It took my bird two days but it worked and now i put both fruits and veggies and seeds and pellets in cage and she eats them all. She loves grapes!!!!!! Good luck:D

Cockatiels are not natural fruit eaters so often don't have a taste for the sweeter foods like fruits. Try rich green leafy veggies & sprouts. These are more there type of food so can be more appealing to them. Also try sprouting some of your tiels bird seed. This will encourage him to start eating a fresh greans.

Please do NOT remove all other food as this often causes a bird to starve to death, especially tiels. They're extremely stubbourn creatures & you're only putting them in harms way by completely removing all other foods. He needs to be convinced the food is sfae to eat. You can do this by eating or pretending to eat it & make it sound really yummy.

Also make any food changes gradual if you intend to take him off a certain food. Doing it suddenly can cause health problems.

All bbirds do tend to love grapes but don't go overboard with them. As for apple, they're loved in parrot world, loaded with water, sugar & no nutrition. Bright yellow, orange, rich dark grean veg always has the best nutritional value than any other so should be given daily.
Conures require a high vit k diet so some grean leafy veg should be offered every single day. High vit K: Broccoli Brussels sprouts White cabbage Carrot Collard greens Cilantro Kale Red leaf lettuce Mustard greens Parsley Capsicum Spinach Watercress. These veggies should be a large part of a conures diet. these veggies are also excellent for tels. I have both birds :)
