updates on hammies!!!

I am like never on this forum anymore. So I thought I would just give you all an update on how things are going with the hams.

Dominic my only male is pretty good. He is so evil though, always bites even when hes out. So I don't really get him out much which doesnt bother him at all actually, hes always sleeping or eating or running on that wheel. But I do get him out sometime and I give him treats too. Hes doing really good no problems no nothing just a mean, healthy dwarf ham lol!

Tinkerbell is doing great also. Shes not as evil as dominic but she loves latching onto my finger at time lol. She come out more then dominic cuz she begs, its so cute when hamsters beg lol. Anyways but things are going good with tink too.

Jasmine is wonderful. Her mommy (tink) isnt mean to her anymore. They get along wonderfully. And jasmine never bites me at all. She only licks my fingers....sometimes lol! But yeah jas is doing great!

And last but not least Nala! I know you shouldnt play favorites but nala is my favorite hamster. She never bites and will sit in my hand for the longest time just licking my fingers, its so cute, i love her so much. Shes doing really good too. Shes just spoiled rotten lol!

So all my dwarfs are doing good. I just wanted to update on them and let you know how they are doing. :);):D :p

awww thanks. I love my hammies so much. I mean even though dominic and tinkerbell bite they do lick too just like nala and jasmine. I dont know hardly anything about colors, but opal sounds really pretty lol!

Dom looks like a blue mottled, Tinks is an argente, Jas looks like she may be a lilac fawn but cant tell too well and Nale looks like a normal - not an opal.

I think she's an opal still. Because if she was a normal, her sides and belly should be a distinct white, and a normal's top color is brownish black. But, Nala's sides are yellowish, and her top is grayish, so to me, she's an opal. Ratbrat also said that the picture I gave her of an Opal colored Campbell looked like Nala....

So yea. But I do believe that it's an opal. Can you possibly take some more pictures of Nala, ratbrat21? Try to get clear pictures like you did the first few, but that also shows her coloration better? Oh and the others colors, LMDH told you those.... Hehe, but I do know an opal when I see one!! :D

ok i did some research on hamster colors and i am pretty sure i am right on this lol.
Dominic is a silvered blue
Tinkerbell is a argente
Jasmine is a blue fawn
Nala is an opal
There i am pretty sure i am right lol.

A normal should have an orange line between the top fur and the belly fur. And a true normal should be have a greyish tint as all the basecoat is slate grey. The belly should be off white, with slate grey underneath. Has a black dorsal stripe.

Opal has a blue top coat and cream arches and a blue grey dorsal stripe.

Personally I still dont think she is an opal, but i would love to see more pictures.

thanks. Dominic looks sweet but hes a brat. Always bites me. HE use to be so sweet,i even have him out everyday and he just is grumpy. But i think hes an old hamster, i know someone brought him in cuz they didnt want him anymore. Hes a good kid i guess lol. He loves oatmeal and any treats i give him. Yeah nala is confusing knowing her real color. But shes a cutie no matter....heck they all are cuties no matter lol!
