Is there anything you can do to your dog to not have them bark so much? I think it may be a little annoying to our neighbors at this time...and it's getting me paranoid!

first of all only a bored dog barks neurotically...if your neighbors are reasonable they will understand normal barking like when they hear another dog bark, or someone enters their territory (front porch or the hall in front of the door...) try to get more toys and hide treats around the house to keep your dog busy while you are away, but most importantly tire him out with a good walk/jog before leaving...if you are still worried...i lived in an apartment for a while and i bought an ultrsonic anti-barking thingy...it makes a high pitched noise only a dog can hear when they bark...it worked instanly and even curbed the loud barks when someone walked down the hall, they resorted to huffing under their breath whick doesn't get through the wall so i didn't care :) lemme find out the exact one i got...please don't support those shock anti-bark collars! this works i swear!!!

They come in here where I have the computer and look out the window and if they see anyone go by they bark. They bark if there is a noise next door, and they also bark if someone knocks on our door.
It gets annoying. Please let me know which one you had and I will see if that works.

ok it's the petsafe ultrasonic bark control $39.99 @ petco online

it has a button on top to activate it manually also, so if you catch them eating your couch of something they'll really pay attention to you :)

we have tried the sonics on over 75 dogs..
stopped 12 dogs first time
did not effect the remaining
9 dogs ignored the sonic after 2 or 3 cycles
the other 3 barked intermently and stopped most of the time..
recommendation... try it,if it works excellent....odds are it will not....
another suggestion... start from the least aversive method and work up to find resolution.... not any one method or tools works for all dogs....do not let someone convince you otherwise..
