Well, today after I dropped off some of my guppies to my friend's house, my mom and I drove to the pet store where I got Kiba. Anways, I was hoping for an opal and a normal. So, when I ran to the hamster section, I saw a CAGE FULL OF OPALS AND NORMALS! WHAT LUCK!! :D

Anyways, after the guy got the cage down for me to check the hamsters, all I saw were females... There were 2 normals, and about 3 or 4 opals. I was making sure that there weren't any males in there because then the females would be pregnant. Then out of the wooden house came a GORGEOUS opal male! He was SO SWEET! I was like, well, the females are pregnant (And my mom would NOT want me to get a pregnant female) and he was the only male! So I got him. I checked his teeth and his fur, stomach, eyes, butt, everything and he was PERFECT!

So I brought him home and now he is happily sleeping in his wooden house! :) He woke up a second ago and then I picked him up. He didn't bite, and he kept jumping off my hands! ;) But he didn't fall or anything... So he loves his new cage and everything! He is so sweet and a great guy! He is opal too! :D The pet store man said he was about 12 weeks old. And he sure looks it too!

So I just wanted to tell you all about the great news. Pictures will come up here sooner or later... The camera isn't really working that well and he moves so fast! Any suggestions for names? Thanks! :)

Oh and btw, he is a Campbell Dwarf!

But the only buddy I would have gotten him would have been a female... So if I did, she would be pregnant and I know how everybody, especially you, frowns upon getting a male and a female purposely, so I had no choice BUT to get him, as he was the only male in the tank with about 5 other females....

The big problem with all the Campbells I have is I can't tell most of them apart! I have six females, and only the biggest I can tell apart; same with a group of four guys.

That is the one thing I find vexing about them - I can't name them in groups as I don't know who is whom. I once even tried some food coloring on their backs; it wore off too quickly.

HaHaHa.... Yea, that's why if I had a group, I would get different colors, or hope that a pregnant female would give birth to different colored babies! ;)
