Hi,
I think pitbull's face are rather cute and they are quite plump too, but i am not too sure about their temperment.
Can you tell me more about them?

Hi K&N,
I am not familiar with pitbulls. They look kinda playful and strong. heard that if they bite, they will not easily release and they dislocate their jaw.
How many pitbulls do you have? care to tell us more abt them?

It is unfortunate that pibulls are so misunderstood. Because of inhumane treatment (pit fighting) of these dogs they are dubbed the bad guys of the canine world. I have trained dogs and volunteer with our local pound and have found most pits to be friendly, easy going and very smart. Their personalities vary just as they do in any other breed. If they are well socialized and raised in a loving environment they make great family pets .....just like any other breed of dog. Dogs are a product of their environment.
I personally love the look of a pitbull. Their big blocky head that wrinkles on top when they are deep in thought is the cutest thing.
Well, just thought I'd add my two cents.

Pits to me are absolutely gorgeous, adorable, loyal dogs. They are grand and courageous, but sadly and terribly misunderstood. I have a misunderstood Rottweiler, she wouldn't hurt a fly. A lot depends on the trainer as well as the person it shows aggression to, that's only IF the dog shows aggression. Kids and even some adults can be rude, make sudden noises or threaten the dog. If you were scared outta your mind and cornered, would you throw a punch?

I have a pit/rott mix. He is so cute loving adorable, protective, loyal but VERY possessive. I have tried to be strict with training especially cage training and my husband was against it, I knew the type of breed was controversial, and tried to train him accordingly, but he has never liked kids especially small ones, and has gone after other dogs. He has a large yard and I run him 2 miles a night (I run at night and got this breed for protection) He is a very hilarious dog, but aggressive, I am not sorry I got this breed I love pitbulls they look intimidating which is what I need, I'm afraid they will be outlawed if another pitbull attack is portrayed as the breeds fault. I know my dog came this way, It was nothing I trained him to do, I have kids but they are older. College age, I love him and I'm afraid I'll lose him.

Well,There are many myths about pitbulls like, dislocating their jaw, locking their jaw and being human aggressive.I have never had a "bad" pitbull and I have been breeding and raising them for more than 13 years now.I have 5 at the present time.

I have a Registered APBT/Male/Rednose/Brindle/2 years old.
He is was raised with children around him,and very friendly to all..He is very territorial and does and will not allow any other animals in the area..I recomend to anyone that wants to own a PITBull you need to know how much responsability goes into raiseing a Pit.My Pit is a house dog,,I do not Chain him outside,They need excessive exercise every day they have all kinds of energy and they have to get it out some how..I take him to the park and let him run for 1 hour per day(He is a well trained Pit)..
I try to associate him as much as I can with other people and other animals..Also I have one thing to say to all the owners that use their Pits to fight))You do not have any right to own a Any animal and turn around and fight him for money It is illegal for one and As everyone knows))Pits fight to the death..It is WRONG.....

I love my pitties!! I have 3 of my own and I also have a friend's living with us right now. I also am involved in pitbull rescue in Chicago. A great site you all may want to check out is www.pbrc.net. (http://www.pbrc.net.) Has some very interesting info. All of my dogs are rescued from unsavory "breeders" who wanted them for fighting. One of mine is an exfighter and after a ton of love and retraining, she can be with the other dogs including the Shih-tzu's and the GSD/collie mix.
Contrary to popular belief, pitbulls DO NOT have locking jaws. Their jaws are the exact same structure as any other canine. They do, however, have very muscular and powerful jaws. They have also been bred over the years for their tenacity. Unfortunately, some very irresponsible owners exploit this trait.
We should all be fighting for the punishment of these "owners" not against the breed itself. These dogs can be rehabilitated and trained very easily. Personally, I will never be without a pitbull. Please, everyone, stand strong against Breed Specific Legislation...it will do no good because the people who they want to target are the ones who don't care about the laws anyways.
Forgive the problems you may have with the page but you can see my babies at http://www.geocities.com/alphapitbitch

This may seem like a stupid question, but I have to know.
I thought that Brindle was a color, but people are always asking if my pit is a bridle when she is clearly black and white. So who is the moron here? me or them?

I grew up with a pit as a child and I don't think there is a tougher dog out there. We rode her, made her pull our wagon, dressed her up, put nail polish on her, went sledding with her (we all usually ended up crashed haha), and even took her sailing. She took it all in stride and never ever complained.
My boyfriend has one now and I have yet to find a more loyal and tolerant animal!
