well, waylon now has binmates, though willie is the only one he's getting along with. after a squabble or two they're fine, but merle has a bloody nose now so he's getting sooked in a separate cage. i may try a re-intro later in the tub. they had such beautiful girls there, a black with white gloves and a white moustache, a little light tan and white mottle red eye, and another blue and white mottled like waylon. these were the only two boys that caught my eye, though merle is a tad older and a great deal larger than the other brats. either way, here are my other two outlaws. i know willie is a normal campbell, but what color is merle? anyone have any suggestions?

Poor little Merle- try different ways of introducing them.. I hope it works out. Whee! I'm excited that you got more critters- don't know why :D

yep, i tried again and they seem to be doing fine now. i added some extra hidey boxes to the bin and when willie went after merle i huffed on him a bit. that seems to have put an end to the evil little booger's terrorizing. waylion could care less. he's running his little heart out and glaring at them both. i was actually worried about merle picking on the two little guys but it seems willie is a brave one. let's hope merle's nose heals quickly. lol

Oooh they look adorable! I hope the peace and harmony carries on. I think the occasional squabble shouldn't be such a big deal but if anyone draws blood again I'd be concered- poor Merle, everyone pick on the old guy lol :(

It's cool that they all look different- I heard someone say they can't tell the difference between each ham in their dwarf groups- I'd hate that!

yep, animalmagic, i actually went through every tank of dwarves in the hopes of finding 3 different looking ones. i lucked out since they were the only males in the city. they did have some beautiful females though. *swoons* lol right now we still have peace and they're actually walking past each other without squawks and hisses. i think that could be a good sign. :D

They are lovely!!

Bit stuck on the colour. I think Merle is black, but with something else, possibly the platinum gene or the umberous gene. Would love more pics of him as he is very unusual

we've come to the conclusion that he's a silvered black. :) thanks to cait for that one!

they have a bowl as i can't find a bin bottle and they were used to the bowl at the store. they're currently on lab blocks and some dark greens off and on.

Cait, mottled yes but not too sure on the silvering. Pictures arent clear enough for that.

All blacks (and any colour made up of black) silver in time, but it is his face that doesnt look right for silvering.

Daylight pics would be a great help!

Still, lovely hamsters and i hope they are all getting along just fine today.
