Mailboxes busted

Hello all! It's Brandy. I just thought that I would start a new tread, a weird one at that. lol Well, our mailbox has been busted by teenages or someone like seven times in the past 6 months or so. I just thought I would see how many other people have had this happen? Just curious that's all. It happened again Sunday night, and this time they took the whole thing with them. Ughh! This urks me very bad, anyway, like I said just curious. Talk to you soon! :badpc:

that happens to my Babcia and Dzdaza(grandma and grandpa) all teh time,cause they live all the wya out, where it used to be considered"out of the town area."

I know, teenagers are pretty dumb, they drink, take drugs, get pregnant, crash their cars right in front of me when I go to school, abuse animals, and the list is loooong, hate to say it but I'm a teen too, although I'm nothing like my peers, I feel much more mature..lol(and I'm glad I am)

Mailboxes get beat in all the time around here. I've seen one way people have made it impossible to have their boxes destroyed. They buy a huge metal pipe, just big enough to fit the box into, then afix the flag to the outside of the pipe. I suppose it'd take someone with somekind of DIY skills to make one, but I sure would like to see some drunk redneck teenager around here take a swing with their aluminum baseball bat at one of those!

Our box gets it all the time. Now, more than not, it's hanging upside down. It'd been knocked off so many times, Mom wired it on, so when it gets hit, it just flips upside down instead of caving in.

lol...those are some good ideas! Indestructable mailboxes lol! Cool beans...Thanks for all the replys! Well, the officer that came out to check things out said that it looked like it was done on purpose. I live out in the country with a lot of rednecks around so I guess you never know. lol

We also kept getting our mailbox smashed and knocked down.
So my hubby mounted the mailbox on a big steel pole and put it in the ground with cement !! It hasn't been knocked in since !!:D
