hamsters do not get periods and your ham needs a vet NOW.

What dwan said.. she needs a vet...

and your friend doesn't sound like she knows much about hamsters, and shouldn't be breeding them. hamsters eat their babies when they are stressed, or not getting enough nutrients.. etc..

Take your hamster to the vet!!

Take both hamsters to the vet.

Yours should not be bleeding - could she have been pregnant when you got her? She may be having difficulties and needs a vet asap.

Eating the babies is not uncommon, but is usually die to a problem. Perhaps the babies were not healthy, mum was stressed, incorrect diet. If they have furred up enough for you to see colour then this worries me. If a mum is going to eat babies she will do it as early as possible, usually before you even notice. If they are white, then perhaps they are a product of the lethal gene and thats why mum has killed them. If this is true then the parents need to be separated.

What colours/breeds are your friends hamsters?

Also, your friend should know all this stuff if she is breeding. Doesnt anyone do research anymore?

this isnt my advice but it's my friends, if your hamster breeded you shold separate the hamster mother and father otherwise they will hurt each other
