bird wont eat fruit

My cockatiel will not eat any fruit or veggies he is a year old.The only thing he eats is this health cereal that my mom buys. what should I do?

Is he healthy enough otherwise...?

Some cockatiels, especially young cock birds, are a bit slow on learning to grow up and do what adult birds should do....!

Others don't like to try new foods, like us not all of us eat our greens, so some of our pets dont either just because a book says somewhere that they should....!
If you really want him to try and take the conventional foodstuffs then you must stop offering him the health foods...(?)... and offer him greens a little at a time along with his normal seedmix...

other wise leave him on the healthfoods...they are healthfoods afterall and no doubt grown organically and if they are for human consuption then there should be no problems with the bird because of this...

i have a cockatiel and i didnt think he like fruit to but then i left him alone and watch him from the lounge and he was eating it. were you standing next to the bird cause that might be the problem if u were then just leave the fruit in there and walk away from the cage for a while and just keep an eye on him.

He seams to be healthy he plays and churps all the time.maybe I will just go with the healthy food for now. thanks
