I am VERY YOUNG grandma, hey, I'm not even 50 yet (hee hee) and here is a phot of my two granddaughters this past Easter and my other two almost-granddaughters, I am Nana to all four of them. Anyway I know most of you all are much younger than me....but only physically, not necessarily in spirit!! but I know there's Gotta be a few other grandma's out there who love their furry and feathered critters as well as their two - legged critters! h aha!C:\WINDOWS\Desktop

I bet you're not the only Grandparent on Petshub! I wonder, though if I'm the youngest. I think I might be! :)

Howdie squeak. Nope you aren't the only one, but I only have and will ever only have one grandson. He is the light of my life. My daughter considers me grandma to 5 cats, 3 dogs, a turtle, mouse, horse and a tank full of fish.

I have three cats of my own, alas, no pics of any of them.

Hope to chat with you soon

Hi Squeak,
I too am a Grandma to 2 going on 3. They call me Mum-Mum.
I was 38 when the first one was born.
My Granddaughter Brynn is 4yr. and my grandson Kainn is 2 1/2yr., and she's going to have another at the end of Oct.
Mind you , I still have an 11yr. old son and a 7yr. old daughter at home !!
Here is a picture of me with Brynn.

ok, I have posted two pictures - this one and another one on another board of my lovebird - and I can see them both but no one else can. Phooey phooey. Does anyone know what I did wrong? I clicked the little red face, then IMG, and pasted the properties of my photo in the space provided, and bingo, it showed right up in my monitor, but I am the only one that can see it. Did I miss a step? Anybody know?

Are you using an online picture host?

I wrote this earlier. Ignore if this is not the problem.

Okay. I know this has been covered before, but people are still asking and I thought I'd try to compile all the info here together step by step.

1. The first thing you need is an online picture host.
http://www.picturetrail.com/ is a very easy and simple way. Go there, fill out the VERY short form of info, and walah! you have an online picture host.

2. Once you have your account, click UPLOAD PICTURES on the lefthand menu. You can load from 1-12 pics at a time.

3. Click the browse button and pick the pic from your computer. Do this for each picture you want. It's okay to leave some blank.

4. Click UPLOAD PICTURES NOW at the bottom of that page.

5. Now the pictures are in you PICTURE INBOX. From there you have to move them into a file. This is where you can give them a name, write a description, etc. DO NOT check the box that says DISABLE RIGHT CLICK. You're gonna need to be able to do that later.

6. Now, you can click on the link MAIN PAGE on the lefthand sidebar.

7. Chose the album you want.

8. When that album opens, there are thumbnails on the left. You click on one and it pops up in the display on the right.

DO this for EACH picture:

9. Right click on the enlarged image.

10. CHose PROPERTIES.

11. HIGHLIGHT the URL where it says ADDRESS/URL. Highlight the whole thing from the http at the beginning to the .jpg or .gif or whatever at the end.

12. Right click to copy.

NOTE: I keep a NOTEPAD with all the URLS and a whort description of what pic they go to so whenever I need to use one, I don't have to go to Picturetrail and retrieve it each time. As soon as I add a new pic, I also add that URL to my list on the notepad.

13. Here, on petshub, to enter the image, click on the button that says IMG and paste the code in there.

WHen putting up photos, I always PREVIEW first, to make sure it'll work- didn't accidently put double http://'s or something.

You could copy and paste theses instructions onto a notepad, as well, or, like me, have two browsers open so you can toggle back and forth.

I hope that helps and many thanks goes to whoever turned me onto Picuretrail. You know who you are.

Okay. I see that you are using a kodak picture center. This was the URL (http://picturecenter.kodak.com/image/2199416866_400.jpg?dropshadow=4,40,102,102,153&ext=.jpg) I found by rightclicking where your pic should go. It took me to a 403 page, which means that no one besides you has access- perhaps it is marked private. That's why you can see it an we can't- becuase of your cookies. If there is not a way to make the picture album public, you may have to try another picture host.

We really would love to see your pics! Good luck!

Thank you, Left Paw! :flippy: During my lunch break (I am at work) I will try that online picture site you provided. Until then, you all will just have to hold your breath! ha ha!

Thanks for all your help - I have learned alot about doing stuff on this mechanized monster crouching on my desk, but I still have a looooong way to go!

How adorable! That littlest is a serious camera ham, isn't she? You must be very proud.

Téa is a total ham. We have no trouble getting her to smile pretty for the camera. Tiffany, on the other hand, runs from the camera most of the time. I was glad she stood still and smiled for the Easter pictures!

I know this is a pet site, and not a kids pics site, but I couldn't resist. Ha ha! Anyway they are just like little animals sometimes.... I will get more Fred pics and post them later on (now that I know how, thanks to you, Left Paw!) :cheer:
