how old do you have to be to work in a pet store im 16 and have applied at boring places like mc donalds with no luck but was wondering how old you have to be to work at a pet store :) :goldfish: reason im wondering is so i can start saving up for my ferrets but i need to find a job first yes i have been doing the research.

wow come on people some one must know or does no one on here work at a pet store lol its only been on for two days and been looked at 14 times with no awnser :( so can no body tell me

It all depends on the store.

Pet Supplies "Plus" hires in at 16, and so does Petland.

So my guess is they'll hire in at your age. Give it a try!

thank you very nice to know we have three pet stores and just recently got a pet supplies plus in and i must say there stuff is the cheapest and there animals are the healthiest i have only seen a couple of fish with ick there and they actually separate them and treat them now thats a great pet store to work at im so happy they opened in are area poop on bubby's they are like double in prices and sell marshall ferrets and pet central is also expensive so yay for pets supplies plus :) im so happy now.

Our Pet Supplies "Plus" is horrid. It's where I picked up Piccolo. Her cagemate was dead. Omigosh, they're gross.

Ours doesn't separate them by sex, either. When I got Punk there I asked if their rabbits were separated by sex because "she" (they insisted Punk was a girl ... and I was dumb enough to listen) was caged by herself and there were many rabbits next to "her". The girl responded with, "Oh, we don't know their sex. She's by herself because she's older." O_O

They don't have rabbits there anymore (thank goodness). I don't particularly like the place.

But it's like Petco and Petsmart ... some are good, some are bad. Mine is bad.

Good luck on finding a job. I'm planning on working at my humane society when I'm finished graduating.

are's has chinchillas on ocassion and bunnys and cavy's and lots of birds but im normally just not any ferrets thats a good thing im just there for fish for my tank when i go or bird food there animals look healthy they had a chin out last time and letting a little girl hold it so i was naturally attracted something soft to pet i could not help my self i there is anything bad by us its are walmart we kill fish and hermit crab isle seriously they should not sell animals it urks me the wrong way every time i see all those dead fish in the tanks and in the containers.

Meijer is just as bad, though they are now phasing out the selling of pets and are only selling supplies.

If it's not a humane society, I hardly want to hear about it. However, I recall seeing animals in the near-ish Petsmart that looked very happy and healthy and in nice-looking cages. Obviously smaller, 'cause it's a store, but not too bad from what I remember. That was a while back, though.

I'm sure I'll be paying them another visit this summer.

we are getting a nice little snow storm here after all this nice wrm 65 degree weather what a shame i know you guys got a storm last week did you get hit with any more snow i have no idea where clarkston is but my cousin lives in brimley michigan im hoping no school tommorow but you guys always seem to get more snow than us anyways.

meijer is the name of a pet store wow that sounds like a chinese soup kitchen or something not a pet store never heard of one of those i plan on adopting my ferrets from the shelter there are so many at the shelters near me.

Anyway, we only got some uber light flurries here. Nothing serious.

have you read when the wind blows, the lake house, or maximum ride, i can not wait for the next book schools out forever to come out. if you havent they are about scientists messing around with human and bird DNA they are really good i dont know why but i find myself re-reading them again. :)
