Talullah (Bankhead- Silver Screen Actress who grew up in my hometown)
Bianca, Katarina (The sisters from Taming of the Shrew, my 2nd fav Shakespeare)
Hermia, Helena, Titania (Characters from A Midsummer Night's Dream, my #1 fav Shakespeare)
But I like that Suncea! No one else would have that.
Of course, we tend to name animals by their markings- like Booger. Some of the cats we've fostered were named like that:
Valdez- he was white with four black spots like an oil spill
Meridian- she had a white stripe straight downt he middle of her face like the Prime Meridian
Gravy- he was a solid grey cat except for a white muzzle like he had stuck his face in the gravy
Silver- a silver tabby
Roley- a very FAT kitten
7- (that was my mom's cat, who was insane, so she was usually called 666) She was grey and white- had a white number 7 on her back
Tippy- a tiger-striped kitten with a white tip on her tail
Jigsaw- a b&W with very wierd patches, like a puzzle
CrackerJack- actually several kittens were names crackerjack- theorange tabbies- if there were two, one was cracker and te other was jack. I guess we got stuck on that one. Once we had three yellow kittens and we just called them 'The Yeller Fellers'
These are just a few of the pregnant cats or their litters that we fostered. I miss it- akways having littens to play with- . But it got harder and harder to find good homes for them.

Yeah- I 've seen it. I like the version with Kevin Klien, Michelle Pfiefer (sp?), and Rupert Everet better. But, if you notice, in Get Over It, the story line pretty much parallels AMSND. I don't really like Kirtsten Dunst, though, or I'd probably like it better.
Did you see 10 things I hate about you? That's a very good modern rendition of Taming of the Shrew. They even kept most of the names and inserted some of the actual lines from the play.
So- kittengurl- what did you name your new fuzzy?

Hey Jackie my b-day is in June also!
A few years before your though <G>
We always have a theme for naming animals.
FOr a while we used names from MY favorite TV show -DR WHO.
Then we used names of trains
Now we have names from Japanese Animation Show.
BUt I LIKE the name you thought of. I like my animals to have really different names. Althought we get fosters and shelter dogs who already have names , we also get a lot of feral cats and dogs that are strays so we get to name them.
Enjoy your new kitten my dear. My b-day is the 20th when is yours?
Oh and leftpaw I LOVE 10 Things I hate About you. TNT shows it sometimes as does USA. You can rent it at a video store too. And then there is always West Side Story ( that is really Romeo & Juliet).

NO NO! I hate Romeo and Juliet- my mom's always trying to get me to watch Westside story because it has that girl she likes inj it that played Gypsy- can't remember her name- No! To overdone- veryone thinks it's such a beautiful romantic tragedy- I think Shakespeare was recording in history how stupid kids act the first time they like somebody!
I DID watch Much Ado About Nothing- Mom's been trying to get me to and she used that 'it's got Gilderoy Lockhart in it' on me, so I did. I really liked it- am reading THAT now, among other things.
My idea of real relaxation: Lying on the bed with a cat curled up on your back, drinking a Cream Soda, eating a cowtail, reading Shakespeare, and listening to STYX.
So- what's the verdict- what is baby kitty's name gonna be?
(OOOh, my cousin's cat just had kittens- she's part siamese- white with just the faintest markings- and one kitten is completely white except for a light gray diamond on her head- I want it!!! Of course, I won't get it, but I want it!!!!)

I don't know whether or not you've gotten your new kitten or not, but here's some names anyway, in case you get another kitten.
Slinky
Mouser
Cutesy
Tootsie
Garfield
Buttons
Oscar
Creamy and Company( Creamy Co. for short)
Ringo
Lovey Dovey
Onri( I don't know how you spell it in french, but the name means Henry in French)
Miss Whiskers
Mr. Whiskers
Josie and the Pussycats
Sox or Socks
Sugar
That's all I can think of right now, but I'll be back with more names later.

I was talking to my mom and realized that she was not very creative with names when she was little. SHe had a Miss Kitty, and then later a Kitty, who turned out to be a boy, who then became Mr K. She also had a KC (short for Kitty Cat). Buffy, the grey cat, her kittens- Simon and Garfunkel- (she was getting a little more creative by then) and finally Montaigne- after some French poet or something who wrote about cats.
SHe would die if I tried to name my cat someting boring like 'Kitty'!

I had a cat named Kitty once. It's not by a boring name, it's just a name you use if you can't come up with anything.

Goddess
Dutchess

Personally I like the name you have already picked out best, suncea, It's very pretty. I would say stick with that unless it doesn't match her personality...you'll know if that happens you will start calling her all sorts of nicknames until one sticks. That's what happened with one of my cats.

I was looking through name books to see if I could find what her name might mean ( that's just the way my mind thinks ) and the only thing I could find that was close was this:
Sunkia meaning swift. It's a Hopi Native American name. Perhaps your kitten will be swift too...::chuckles::
