Thinking about fostering

Hi everyone, I am really considering fostering pregnant or nursing animals, small caged pets such as hamsters, birds, etc and other small to medium animals. What I would LOVE to know are the pros and cons of fostering and can anyone tell me their experience with fostering?

Very good idea! And I wish you all the luck in the world in your endeavor! In my opinion, it does take a Saint to foster care for pets or people! Something I'm afraid I'd never be able to do myself!

Of course, the biggest draw back would be the emotional trauma you may be subjecting yourself to. That would be my problem. Sadly, I have to admit i just am not emotionally a very strong person.

But I'm sure that those who are able to deal with that part of it, certainly gain so much from being able to help, & I've heard people say it's been the most fullfilling experience of their lives!
