She has a 23 gallon with-

6 black phantoms, 2 blue rams, 2 Borelli, 1 bristlenose catfish and heaps more (she got those this month). She said she has about 30 fish in there and is still getting more.

What do I say to her? She is overcrowding her tank.

Right?

Tell her that in a nutshell, all her fish are going to die. Explain the nitrogen cycle.

STOP HER! Its so cruel! Most those fish require atleast 3 gallon each. I can understand its addicitive to buy more fish. But "thats" maddness!

I have to agree with what the others and you have said, her tank is WAY WAY overstocked! Google the nitrogen cycle if you don't already know what it is. Try to urge her to choose maybe 2 of those at the max and take all the rest back if they'll let her....It honestly looks better to have a tank with one or two different species in it with enough room than tons of fish trying to survive in very little room....
