Smelly Ham

Recently, my bigger Hammy, Ursula actually started using her wheel (yay!) But now, not only does she run in it, she gets on it, pees on it, then starts running around in it!! It's a plastic wheel, and now the cage smells horrible! My fiance and I just scrubbed the wheel all over, but it still smells! Before I reintroduce my two girls, I need to know if there might be something wrong with her. Thanks!

Sounds normal to me - I have many hams that do their toliet in the wheel. Its just something that they do.

Beware of overcleaning though, as this may encourage her to do it more - if she cant smell herself on the wheel, she may pee on it more as a scent mark.

Oh, okay, thanks! I reunion, I'm afraid only lasted about 30 minutes this time. However, it was Jersey showing Ursula who was boss this time around!
