I have this Teddy bear hamster named Teddy. I found him in the corned of his cage today instead of his house. Seeing this I thought was a little strange so I went to go check on him. I saw that his chin was all wet and around his mouth. I discovered that he has a runny nose and he's really out of it. He's not him usual self at all. I've tried giving him his seeds and he just sniffed it and back away usually he's almost out of his cage door for food. I'ved tried giving him bannana's, carrotts and lettuce and he still isn't eating. I've tried getting him to drink water out of his water bottle too. Does anybody have any suggestions what to do I don't want the poor thing to die it will devastate me. :(

Yes he needs a vet. Whereabouts are you in Ontario? I'm in Toronto and knew a bunch of well priced vets that deal with small animals if you like.

This is what I found right away, they're probably closed today because of the holidays though. :( I hope your little guy's alright. I don't know about her prices or anything, just that she's in Newmarket and treats small animals.

i really wouldn't wait until tomorrow. i'd get him to an emergency vet ASAP. when small animals show signs of illness it is usually very serious as they do not show symptoms usually in the beginning stages. when symtpoms arise it is time to scoot to the vet immediately as time is of the essence. good luck!
