Alright, I have a 29 gallon tank of mostly live bearers and some tetras. For the past week or so, the livebearers (mostly the mollies and platies) have developed this a fungus of some kind. I had believed it was a body, cottonwool sort of fungus. But now its been attacking thier eyes and eating the eyes out. I've treated the tank for fungus abouy 2 and a 1/2 times. But symptoms still consist. I also added salt to lower stress levels and to stop some of the mollies from shimmering. But nothing seems to be helping. They are dying by the twos and threes each day! What do I do?

How many fish are there in the tank exactly? How long has it been setup?
Do you know the water parameters?
What meds have you been adding?

Do you have an extra tank if you do i would put the unaffected ones in ther. Have you added any fish in recently?

4 neons, 2 gouramies, 3 sword tails, 3 platies, and 3 mollies. (actually 2 now, one of them died last night). It's been set up for a month and a half. I added Anti Fungus and Fin Rot by Tetra something I believe...It was green I could go threw the trash and find the bottle. The dosage had to be halfed cause of the tetras. Other than that...

Did you cycle the tank? It's a good idea to buy a test kit and check the water asap, or get the fish shop to do it. You want to check for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.
What's your maintenance schedule? Also, are you running carbon in the tank?

I don't have carbon running anymore. The medication says not to until 48 hours of the last treatment. Yes, I cycled it and I have been doing a 20 percent water change twice a week. I'll go out and get a test kit to test the water, but in the past few days it seems to be receeding to just their eyes and no new fish has been infected. (Just the mollies are left with the fungus)

sry it took me so long to respond. Family matters called me away for a week. Anyway, the fungus has cleared up after two fish deaths :( a mollie and a swordtail. The water tests came out as:
0 ppm Amonia
7.1 PH
0 ppm Nitrite
0 ppm Nitrate
