new hamster

i dunno if you remember my friend shelby. But i gave her that male hamster *otis*. Well to make a long story short. She wants a kitten now and has to find homes for her hamster and guinea pig. I took the hamster *today* and i might have a friend who will take her guinea pig. Its the same friend that took cheddar my gerbil if any of you visit the gerbil forums. But i dunno. Either that or she has to take flower to the pet store and i talked her out of that. So i am hoping and praying traci can take flower. But i got another dwarf hamster now lol!

Great! What color is he? Do you have pictures? Is he a biter? That's just fantastic! Are you going to *try* to house him with Dominic (I think that's the name...)?

i dunno if i could house him with dominic. I have never tried to get hamsters together before. I honestly dont think it would work. Dominic is alot older then otis *thinknig about changing his name now lol* I mean if hamster fighting is anything like gerbil fighting i dont think i would risk it. Oh and otis is the same color as tinkerbell. Hes a satin i think. Cuz his coat looks really greasy. So i gave him some chinchilla dust last night and today hes all soft :) No one else would roll around in it but him. My gerbil kicked it out and my other hamsters peed in it and my mice liked climbing on top of it lol. Anyways otis is a good ham, really sweet, doesnt bite at all, at least not yet lol! And yet again i would have pics of my stupid computer would do what i want it to :)

That's so cool! You should try to get them together. Just put them on neutral territory or clean out the cage, put Otis in first for about an hour, then put in Dominic and keep gloves on just incase they fight. Watch them for like a whole hour or more just in case.

see now thats my problem i dont have gloves lol! I dunno, it would be nice to get them together! But dominic looks so old hehe. Hmmm i dunno thats something for me to think about. And maybe while im at it, i could see if nala can get along with tinkerbell and jasmine lol. Wishful thinking on my part, but i could always try, no harm in that!

i tried yesterday.....dang otis hates dominic lol! I dont think im gonna try again. But it was worth a shot! Otis and dominic are happy by themselves! :)
