Hi,
One of our hamsters has had problems recently with her poo! Most of the time it's fine, but just when I think all is ok it goes soft, light brown and large. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now! I have consulted a vet, who suggested we worm her, which is what we have done, but I wonder if anyone has any suggestion as to what the problem could be if this doesn't work(which it hasn't yet! Maybe I'm just being impatient!)
Thanks
Janie

Tell us her entire diet first.

Hi,
She is on dry food called Hamster Supreme with Raspberry which we buy in 20kilo sacks, unfortunately it doesn't appear to have the ingredients on it, but I would say it has oats, barley, corn, banana chips, locust beans(which she leaves), peanuts, sunflower seeds, peas, pumpkin seeds, alfalfa pellets, dried pineapple(i think!) there are one or two other things that I'm not sure what they are! We also give her vegetables (carrot, broccoli etc). She has been drinking much more water of late but I think that's more because of her poo problem more than a cause of it. Our two boys have exactly the same diet and they have never had any problems! Any thoughts, as I do worry about the poor little mite!
