OK so im bored and thought hmmm it might be fun to name all the gerbils i ever had. Feel free to do the same!


I will name my breeder pairs first!
Simba and Nala
Casper and Zoe
Angel and Doofus
Blondie and Dagwood
Janice and Max
Shania and Oliver
Peanut and Max (2 litters only)(same max he just had 2 girls)
And when we bought Princess she was already pregnant!
Carly and Muskrat
I also had Suzie Q, Katy and Sheba who i bought but they werent bred!
Now i will name all the babies i kept from Simba and Nalas litters!

Princess was preg when we got her she had 3 babies!

These are Janice and Maxes litter
I didn't keep all the babies i had to stop breeding cuz Janice would
eat them. But the one i kept before she ate it was blueberry my only
blue gerbil.
Cujo, Archie, Cheddar (cheddar has a new home now)

Those are all the gerbils i kept from either buying them or breeding! I had a ton more but all of those found good loving homes! :)

thats alot of gerbs Joelle. lol. I wish so many animals were not illegal here. I would have gerbils, Hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and ferrets. (or maybe just ferrets, lol)

haha yeah i had alot. Thats what happens when u got 4 or 5 females having babies at the same time lol. Plus when no one was interested i just kept them lol. Cuz there was only once i gave gerbils to a pet store and i would never ever do that again. And no melanie i dont have pics of my new ham ham yet! Stupid computer is being a.......nevermind lol! I even have new pics of cujo and archie but i can even post them either :( They are really cute pics too. Yeah i love gerbils i never wanna be without them again. :)

yeah, I have some cute pictures on my digital camera, and have seen quite a few picture moments, but my camera needs to go to a repair shop....so, I can't take any pictures!!

My first 2 gerbils...4 years ago..Bailey and Vladimir
Vladimir died aged 3 but Bailey is still with me.
Then my first pair Drunk and Disorderly. After 7 litters Disorderly was retired fully from breeding much to her distress, she was never happier than with pups. At 3 years old she remains a favourite pet. Drunk sadly developed a tumour.
I can't possible list all my gerbils over 5 years but the first litter where two golden agoutis, Whisky and Soda. Whisky died at 3 monthsish for no apparent reason, Soda went on to father 3 litters and be 'uncle' to many weaned male pups.
Christmas Eve 2003 saw Dissys 2nd litter born, a mix of agoutis, argentes and creams.
These included Brandy and Butterscotch, two lovely golden argente ladies.
Butter was paired with Soda, Brandy with Bailey. An agouti female was paired with Vladimir.
Brandy won BIS at Southsea last year at 2 years of age.
Since then there have been many, many litters and of course soem have stayed , soem have been rehomed.
At present I have Brandy, Badger, Lady T, Ginia, Kitty, Reaper and son, Judas, Blaze, Spot, Random, Butterscotch, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Orion, Tom, Dusk, Ragamuffin, Luna, Magpie, Abbey, Insert-Name-Hear, Cut-Me-Own-Throat-Dibbler, Amidalla, Leia, Bobtail, Vyper, Honey, Dawn, Mini, Bailey, Joe, Paul, Ronbo and Tizer + many more!!!
We also have pallid gerbils, charming dipodils and winter white hamsters.

Thats cool. That sounds like nala. She was so sad if she couldnt have babies. She just loved them so much! I bred nala probably way to much but the little gerb lived 6 years and simba her mate lived 7. And normally my gerbs would live 4 or 5 years.
You know i love my rats but theres something about gerbils that just makes me love them. They are the cutest darn things and so funny to watch! Although archie is fat and doesnt run as much as cujo lol!

I've only owned 2...So I'm kinda new at this but already I wanna get more..lol..:D I agree with andrea! Gerbils can get addicting...So far I have Lucy and Ethyl and hoping to get more soon!
