:devil1: I have a 4 month old chihuahua who I believe is sometimes a devil puppy. She has just recently started growling and trying to bite when you approach her while she has things in her mouth. Not things like toys but anything like Greenies or just yesterday I bought her a BabyKong and put treats in it.How do I let her know I am in charge and not her.I still want her to enjoy her treats but not at the expense of getting bit(she has already done so once).I can not really afford any type of classes so what can I do at home to better teach her.Other than the treat thing I do not have any other behavor problems.:devil1:

Teach her you are the alpha dog. No matter what dog you have they should never be agressive towards you taking their meal or tread away from them.
I have very harsh methods depending on the severaty of the situation, many others may not follow but basically teach your dog that you are the leader and if you take the treat away so be it.
I can give you ,y techniques but it is not necessary, you can 'feel' the requirement for each individually dog.

I would start with a NILIF program...Treats can be part of the problem if not used correctly....
This is not a issue which someone can guide you in much detail with over the phone or in writing...
AND BE LEARY OF ANY ADVICE TO IGNORE THE BEHAVIOR AS MANY SUGGEST TO DO>>>
