now the goldfish have gone, my weatherloach sunburn looked very lost and bewildered down on the bottom of the tank:( (10-15 gal). so until i have all the equipment to set up my new 30 gallon i bought him some friends to keep him company!
i bought 5 leopard danios and another weatherloach! i finally found somewhere that sells them!! the new loach is brown and speckly, i've decided to name him valo, after the lead singer of HIM:lovestruc coz he looks quite dark and mysterious;) ( although i wouldnt say he's anywhere near as sexy as his human namesake!:D )
im glad i found sunburn a friend, i used to have two golden weatherloaches but ghost died of a fungus i couldn't seem to get rid of:( they used to lie together at night under the filter!

So! not long to go now till i can start setting up! i'd say another couple of weeks and i'll be ready! i found a light too! the woman in the fs said that they grew all their plants under this light(its true i looked) and their plants seem to be growing ok. its a 25 watt powerglo :D
i saw an advert for a hagen sugar and water co2 system in pfk magazine, does anyone here have one? if so can you tell me if they're any good? are they easy to set up and so on? thanx

Hagen's basic CO2 system's meant to be good for the money (£15). I've never had one, though- my plants haven't really needed it.

£15? thats not bad... i think i might get one though. I only have space for one light, and i have the black hand of death where plants are concerned, they see me coming and wilt on the spot!

also, my golden weatherloach keeps lying on top of my new weatherloach. is this some sort of courtship thing/ friendly embrace, or is it a dominance display?i've never seen fish do that before.

loaches are group fish. they love to be in groups and will all pile on top of each other to rest. loach pile!
