My new dwarf hammie!

Well, my new critters came yesterday from the rescue, and I rescued two baby rats from a feeder bin also (all in my thread in the rat forum entitled: I did it again...) Anyway, i got 5 rats, and a campbells dwarf hamster named kirk from the rescue. he is such a sweetie. he licks my fingers, and lets me hold him, though the rescue told me he bit. He hasn't bitten my once, and I have been holding him alot. here are some pictures of the little guy:

By the way, what color would he be considered. I was googling, and I think he is a black eyed argente. is that right?

argente are very bright orangey ginger, he looks more like a normal to me...

very cute love the second pic of him and im not very good on colors my self just at names he really looks like a butterscotch anyways love the hammie and that cage looks pretty cool to they never had that one out when i had hamsters just the nomal crittertrails :)

He doesn't look like a normal to me at all. Definately a black eyed argente in my opinion.

just because it isnt dark, doesnt mean it isnt a normal....

could also be an opal, the closest picture i found was lilac fawn but the chances of that are so slim...

After the post about the rats I was waiting for the post about Kirk! LOL Glad he's there. He's cute!

Its hard to tell from pics, he could be any of the light colors. ;)

On my site (in sig) there's colors there, Mel, you can try that and see if he looks like any of those colors. :)

I went to your site Cait, I actually held him up to the screen, and he is definatly an argente. Also, he doesn't have black or red eyes, they are what I would describe as Violet.

I knew it! :) Anyways, maybe they are ruby colored, like dark dark red. Ruby eyed argente? Lol! ;)

Take a flashlight and shine it in his eyes (seems cruel, but do it quick) and that should tell you whether they are red, ruby, or indeed black. :)
