Holding new dwarf babies?

Any tips on holding new babies? We know it has to be 14 days , but would appreciate any other advice anyone can offer. We are sooooo excited, can't wait. They are so cute.:)

When they are 14 days old, you can just pick them up and hold them like a regular hamster BUT you HAVE to be careful because they WILL jump off your hand! ;)

Thanks. What about the mother? Will she get jealous, should we handle the babies away from her?

If the mom goes after you, and starts nipping at you, best to leave the babies alone until she's not right there. Both times with my mom, she let me handle them at 10 days with no problems.

But still, handle then when they are 14 days old, just to be safe. Give the mom a treat, and while she eats it, pick up a baby! :)

Oh my! Finaly some one that lives in Vancouver!! Yay! See, I'm thinking about getting babies but the pet shops around here don't have an babies in. They are all older then 3moths :o. So I was wondering... If you're selling them!? Especially since I've been wanting a dwarf for some time now..

P.S. I live in Burnaby, is it posibil to deliver 'him/her' personaly? And if you want to keep 'em all, that's fine! But if you will sell 'em may I please see some pictures?

Yah, I'm happy to find some one with dwarf hams, I don't like the way the pet shop 'Noah's Pet Ark' treats the hamsters, if you've ever heard of it! And I'll send an e-mail right away.
