Hi All
I'm new to the board. And would like to introduce myself and my dogs. My name is Holly and i have 2 shelties that i train and show in obedience, conformation and agility.
My first sheltie is 2 years old in January and his AKC name is ShowCase Neverending Story,CD - Brad(sable and white) I show him in Obedience, Agility and Junior Showmanship. My other dog is ShowCase Clear the Runway -Homer(blue merle)- i show him in Conformation and he is currently being trained for Obedience and Agility. I have trained many different breeds of dogs and i'm one of the assistant agility trainers for a local dog club in my area. I'm very interested in hearing about other people from this forum and learning more about the differnt breeds. Check out Brad's page to hear more about him and Homer.

I'm in south Florida, too. I have two Sheltie mixes. 16 years ago, I got Sweetie from an 'outpost' of the Humane Society in Homestead. I was interested in a pup for my two young sons. We rented and the owner didn't have a problem as long as it was a small dog. I also wanted one who would be easy to train and smart. I got it all wrapped up in this little package of brown fur.

Back then, I was a real novice at this whole thing and didn't realize a Sheltie was a Shetland Sheepdog. Nor did I realize my idea of a 'sheepdog' was NOT a Shetland Sheepdog. LOL

Needless to say, we've had 16 wonderful years with Sweetie. She's not had a single severe health problem all her life. She is, for all intents and purposes, deaf and a little stiff in the hindquarters, but she's still got a great smile and expressive eyes that tell you she loves you.

Hi Charisma Star,
This is my first day here and I love this site. Just wanted to say hi and that I have a female, sable and white, 3 year old, Shetland Sheepdog that we bought from Okie's Shetland Sheepdogs in Oklahoma. Her name is Rose and is the best dog yet! They are a great breed.
