Ok so I get a call about a stray cat. So I pick her up, she is female, was outside and it's spring time. No I do not have to even guess, I do not have to wait I KNOW she is pregnant. how you wonder? Becuase she is female, outside and not spayed.
She goes in next week for her spay as she isn't far along, can't feel kittens but knowing the circumstances I am not going to wait anylonger then I have to.
Then all I have to do is find a wopnderful loving home for one altered kitty. It's cheaper, I have not taken homes from the kittens in the shelter and that is one less kitty on the street.
If only more people just spayed within the week they find a cat. There would be less litters, less overpopulation.
