Babies

My gerbils just had a bout six babies.When I go to handle them, will the parents "attack" me becuase they dont want me taking their babies away?It would only be for a few minutes so they get used to humans so I can give them away.

How old are they?

Depends how friendly their mum is. Perhaps if you put your hand in the other side of the tank and let mum come over and see you. then just mvoe closer and closer to the nest so the babies get used to you too, then pick them up gently.
