I might be getting 2 gerbils soon and a tank to put them in!
I saw some the other week when collecting my last hamster and we saw some distructive gerbils, they had a plastic house in there that had been chewed up!
So just wondering what would be ok in a gerbils home?

Heehee... Gerbils are very destructive! Give them lots of wood and cardboard to chew on - start saving loo rolls, Mine get through so many!
I wouldn't give them plastic houses as they will chew on it, which can be bad for them. If you don't have any other option (for whatever reason) make sure they have lots and lots of wood and card to chew on instead and check the plastic as often as possible to make sure they're not chewing it.
But yeah, they wil destroy pretty much anything, so always consider this before putting anything in their tank!
Good luck :)

Nothing plastic - it can kill them if they swallow it (duh lol)
Wood and cardboard always go down a treat - as my parents always say, you've gotta have a small brain to get excited over a box! *looks shiftily around for any small kids*
They don't really need houses - toilet paper is good enough for a bed (they chew it up) although I use coconuts and various other woody things in my dunas to keep them entertained :D
Oh and a wood log bridge is always good ;) Mine use them to sleep under, hide under, and play under ^_^
Oh and waterbottles are good too lol
Food can be scattered daily or put in a bowl, but having said that I have bowls but usually scatter :P
Uhhh.... anything I've forgotten guys?
