hi. i noticed that the water level in my hamster's bottle barely goes down. i use filtered water. is that ok?
i was just wondering how much water healthy hamsters drink in a day/week. also, how often do i need to change her water?
is there anything i can do to help her drink more?
thanks!

my hammie gets filtered water too he drinks 3 or 4 oz every 2 days if their ears are matted to their head they r dehydrated another way to tell is to grab a flap of skin and pull it up ( like the scruff) and if it goes down slow it needs water but if it goes directly back it's fine hope i helped :D

Well, Hammy doesn't drink 3or4 ounces a day...she probably only gets an ounce at the most. Is there anything i can do to make her like drinking more? How often do Hamsters pee?

CS doesn't drink that much, but she gets a little lettuce and fruits just about every day and they get water from those.

My hammies drink very little, approx. 1.5 teaspoon per day per hamster along with some vegetable or fruits. They pee at least once a day as I noted.

Don't forget: at least with my hamster he is active alot when I am not. If your hamster is the same they might be drinking when your not looking.

Yes I know she drinks when I'm not looking, that is why I said I look at the MEASURING lines.
Anyways, she pees at least once a day and she is very active so I shouldn't have anything to worry about.
keh02008-thanky for the tip:D
