Will squirting a hamster do anything other than make it annoyed?

I think its funny, but I dont want to hurt him. I dont soak him or anything, just 2 or 3 squirts from one of those little squirt guns.

I wouldent cause it can rub off natural oils in their skin and if they get wet tehy get cold and sick. also if tehy get any water up their nose then tehy wont be able to breath.

Well like I said I'm not planning on soaking him, lol, if anything he might be damp.

Spraying your hamster with a squirt gun is about the equivilent of someone blasting you with a fire hose. I bet it hurts, not to mention has to upet him and make him uncomfortable just being wet. I wouldn't be surprised if you provoked him into biting you.

In order for me to get that kind of a comparison, I would have to use a squirtgun thats one of the most powerful super soakers in existence.

This doesnt push him back, this barely pushes his fur, you exaggerated quite a bit on that one.

Ever seen someone get shot with a firehose? It will pin them to a wall, so they cant move, literally. This does NOTHING like that to the hamster, at all. Any movement caused by this is just from him running around.

Also, I dont care if hes uncomfortable or upset for a second, and I dont care if he bites me either, he cant break my skin anyways.

silverwings is right. it really doesnt seem like you care about your hamster. if you're squirting it with a squirt gun just for the fun of it, give that hamster to someone who knows how to care for it, because it doesn't seem like you know that much about hamster or how to treat them

Here is what I asked:

All I wanted to know, was if it would HURT it. I dont want to hurt it.

You said some things, like if I soaked him oils would rub off his skin and stuff like that, but I'm not planning on soaking him, also I'm using a small squirtgun, one that shoots a beam of water thats about as thick as a pin, and about as harmful as a cotton ball.

I just wanted to know if it would give him a heart attack, not your opinions on whether or not he'd like it.

I'm not a cruel person, the last thing I ever want to do is hurt anything, I dont even like to hurt bugs, and only kill them if they piss me off.

Like I said before, I dont really care if it pisses the hamster off for a second, or upsets him, because its only for a second, if he'll live, he'll recover.

I play with him nicely too, but every now and then its fun to tease any animal.

The closest things to an answer would have only been accurate if I was either using a Super Soaker, or if I was squirting his face.

One of the answers was if water gets in his nose, he cant breathe, or it might rub oils off his skin. I'm aware that things cant breathe when water is in their nose, and I'm not planning on soaking him.

The other answer was that it would be like a fire hose and hurt him, this is rediculous. Squirting him with a little $1.00 squirt gun will cause NO immediate physical harm, this thing doesnt even move his fur.

So why dont you tell me, Rodent Boy, where is my answer?

Now, on to your interesting answer. Frazzle his nerves, well, he doesnt seem to mind too much, he just jumps a little and then drinks the droplets of water on his back. Afraid and aggressive? My suggestion as always in a case of a probable troll. Ignore him, refrain from egging him on, dont stoop to his level. He says he is 17 but he is acting much younger. Bottom line it is a proven fact that anyone who enjoys torturing animals has psychological issues and I think he needs help. As far as him wanting an answer, it is mentally harmful if not physically harmful to do this to his hamster. I have the word out and we are locating his whereabouts to have him investigated by animal control. He will lose his hamster and any other animals he has. What he wrote on here is proof enough for them. So ignore the messages and go help someone who can really use your help. Sounds to me like we either have a troll on our hands or someone who enjoys terrorizing animals.
