Well, I know you're wondering what the heck happened to me, but I looked in my hamster's cage last night around 9pm or so and found a dead baby. My hamster is around 3 months old so shes pretty young. I didnt think shed have a baby though, because the first time my hamsters mated, nothing happened after 21 days then they mated again and this time she had one baby. Which I heard that there's a chance it would die because theres only one child. Is that true. Or did she kill it maybe but didnt eat it? Before I found the baby, I did feel something crust under her so I looked and she had blood on her so I just thought maybe she cut herself by accident, but then I looked in the cage. Does anyone know what could have went wrong? It's so sad. I guess she got confused because shes so young and maybe neglected it or maybe it was already dead before it was born, because the side of the baby was kind of crushed in and you can see blood inside of it. Oh man! I just want to know so I can sleep lol
