Corkey got out! chewed right through the plastic part that hgolds the metal in teh top to teh metal in teh sides.i put traps everywhere but what im worried about is that
1. we have a cat and her litter box is downstairs where teh hamsters are kept(she never bothers tehm but she might have a taste for hamsters soon.:()
2. the crawlspace is downstairs and we have so much junk it would be imposible to look for him in there.


like i said i put out traps to catch him(the bucket and stairs trick) but im really worried about him.

That stinks! My hamster has gotten out three times, but we got her a new cage, so now she can't get out anymore. But make sure you have food everywhere around the house for him! On what level of your house is his cage? If your stairs are carpeted, then make sure you place something there that could prevent him from climbing, because they can clim carpeted stairs! That's what my hamster did :P And always be on the lookout too! I read a story that someone's hamster survived for two weeks in their upholstered couch by making a home in the fluff :P

hes in teh basement Twist, and it connects to th crawlspace, tahst what im worried about, taht and te cat. hes so small hes like a mouse tahts kinda bigger, but only a little. everyone else is losing hpe because hes not very smart and he would proably attract attention to emma.im gonna fix up his cage by buying one of the coveriongs taht goes over an aquarium and puitting it over his cahe(like take off the top and put that on), or i might just get an aquarium to put him in.

Okay, well if your basement has a carpeted stairs, make sure you put some kind of material on the first step that a hamster can't climb. If you can, keep your cat away from the basement! If that's where her littler box is, maybe you could move it to a laundry room or another place like that. And as for the crawl space, look in it with a flash light, and see if you see your hamster or any movement, and then if you do see him, bang on the end where he is and she should come to you, although I don't know anything about your crawl space, but I hope you find him!

I found corkey last night! i came home from tyhe movies(finding nemo is awsome!) and i came down here to listen to music on the computer. and all of teh sudden corkey runs across my feet! i yelled"corkey!" and he just looked at me then ran under teh couch! i looked behind the couch and he just sat there lookin at me, so i picked him up.i had to put a cookie sheet with weights over his cage before i can get one of those aquarium covers.
