Myself and another person are considering starting a pet shop. We are looking at selling pet supplies, obviously, as well as several types of animals, such as:
-Fish,
-Rabbits,
-Mice,
-Ginuea Pigs
-hermit crabs(possibly)

Would you seriously reccommend NOT selling any of these, or are there any other animals which you believe we could have? We already own a location and as it is right next to a primary school we do not want to sell any large animals.

How should we go about getting started? Roughly how much would it cost? We do not want to have large numbers of animals in our store, we want to keep it relatively small. Is this a good idea?

Please reply,
-Rie.

Just as long as you don't sell dogs or cats. Most breeders of dogs and cats that sell to pet stores aren't great breeders. If your in the united states, try contacting Phillips Feed for purchasing your products. They only sell wholesale in bulk to pet stores.

Yeah, we don't want to sell dogs or cats. Originally we thought of that, but then we realised that it probably isn't a good idea. The only way we would sell dogs or cats is if someone comes in, we could reccommend a breeder. We already know of someone who breeds maltese terriers anyway, they were going to sell us a pair. But anyway, thanks for your help.
