Hi. My mom currently has our 3 cats but needs to find them a new home. She's on a fixed income and can't afford to move and all tenants in her building have to give away their pets or be evicted and lose their deposits. There are 2 males and 1 female, all fixed. Cookie is a 10 year old female dark grey with tan splotches colored cat, short haired. Peaches is 9 years old, a long haired orange and white cat and neutered. Smokey is 6 years old, all grey, short haired, and neutered.
I'd take them, but my daughter is allergic and can't breathe around cats, and my other daughter has never been in contact.
If nobody can take them, my mom will be taking them to a no-kill shelter, but we're concerned that after living together their entire lives, they may not bond to another family if they're seperated. My mom has until July 1st to give them away or she'll be given 24 hours to move. She's been trying desperately to find them a new home for over a month, everyone was given 60 days notice.
The cats all have collars, they're 100% indoor cats. Cookie sometimes gets hairballs and throws up, but since using a malt product to reduce hairballs, she hasn't thrown up much at all. Smokey isn't very good around young children. Peaches loves everyone, and Cookie is wary of new people and might take a little time to warm up to them. She doesn't like human males too much, and we assume she was abused by one before we got her, and that was 9 years ago.
I have pictures if they're wanted, so if anyone can adopt them or knows someone who might be able to, please contact me at onebunnywuv@hotmail.com with a phone number, name, etc. I'll pass the information to my mom.
I feel awful that this is the last resort but my mom can't afford to lose her apartment and if I could take them I would, but I hope someone can give them a good home for the rest of their lives.
