Have you heard about autoimmune dissease?

My husband took my black lab mix Cody to the vet today because we noticed strange "wet" scabs on his nose. They are on one side and continue into the nosedrill. The vet said that it might be autoimmune dissease.He gave him Prednison. Cody keeps scratching his nose on the carpet. Does anybody have any idea about this dissease?:confused:

What other "symptoms' led them to say autoimmune though?

My dog kept getting these scabby, blister things on her nose. We finally figured it out like 2 weeks later that she was "playing" with a bees nest and she was getting stung. The idiot goes back for more.

So how do you know He's not just rubbing hisr nose somewhere and something isn't causing the irritation? Using any new cleaning products?
