Once again- I am here to stand up for KaoTik- believe me when I say, he is not on his road to being the next flesh-eating serial killer. Yes, he's argumentative and maybe a little unorthodox in his methods of playing with his hamster, but he hasn't hurt him and wouldn't want to.

If he were an animal, everyone would be feeling sorry for him right now. I think we are somehow able to empathize with furry creatures better than ppl. Don't deny it- that's why we're here- looking for that small chance of human connection with ppl who don't think our love for animals is freaky.

Putting myself in his shoes, I know I would feel really badly to have so many ppl hounding me. No wonder he keeps arguing- he's been called a lot of bad things for the small offense of being an honest person and admitting he picked on his hamster a little.

Who out there hasn't picked on an animal in jest? Put paper booties on the cat? Blow in the dog's nose to make him bite air? People do stuff like that all the time- and probably worse, but they wouldn't dare admit it on here becuase they would be jumped on like a sirloin in a kennel.

There were some pretty bad things said- and some pretty extreme threats made. And I know I'm going out on a limb here saying these things- maybe i'll be next- and I am not saying that I agree 100% with the guy- I don't know him any better than I know any of you- but when he says something enough times, i think we should give him the courtesy of believing him.

Kaotik, I belive you when you say taht you dont want to hurt animals, i have a shrot temper when it comes to animals, i cant stand to see them get hurt. I think we should drop all of this. its getting childish. Ive been hurt on more then one website for saying what i thought was right. None were pure animal sites, just forums, or chat rooms, and everyone made fun of me, calling me names, and such. we all share the same interests here, and we all love animals, taht much is clear. we should stick together, and not go on at each other anymore.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion- mine being that there is WAY TOO MUCH ganging up on people on here. It's never happened to me on here- but it has other places- and it really does make you nearly physically ill thinking that that many people don't like you. It would take the biggest ego in the world to NOT be bothered by that.

KaoTik- you can't make everyone like you or even agree with you- just like you wouldn't like or agree with everyone else- and you can't fight against differences in opinion- it's like one of those inaleable human rights- life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the right to piss people off by having an opinion... No- I personally would not squirt my hamster- but I was talking about things getting way out of proportion. All he did was get his hamster wet a time or two- and people are talking about him being a serial killer and threatening to report him to the authorities- it's just crazy!

Think about SHADOWHAMSTER- he first tortured his hamsters by letting them inbreed- then he killed them- flushed them down the toilet-

Compare those two- it's not even close!

I guess it was a little harsh waht I said and I apologize- I know that you are nice and you want to be supportive of people- that's an admirable trait.

But he's not an animal torturer- he comes off on here sounding really bad- but think about all the things that ppl have said to him- You know how much you love animals? That's the same for all of us. Now imagine if someone accused you of being an evil animal torturer. How would that feel?

And yes- I see that people look at the fact that he squirted his hamster with a dollar store water pistol as cruel- I don't like it- but it's not THAT BIG OF A DEAL o have sparked this long debate.

He was just honest enough to admit what he had done. No one else on here would admit to clipping a clothespin to there cat's tail or any other silly thing like that. (he didn't do that, btw, before everyone umps on that- it was just an example) We're all so afraid of being jumped on around here that we are not honest. We all want to appear as the IDEAL ANIMAL OWNER- but in fact, we are not. Someone at sometime has atleast put off feeding the cat for an hour so they could sleep in on a Sunday, though they wouldn't admit it.

He will live on, happily, which he is doing as we speak, running on his wheel, very contently. I dont intend on harming him, or decreasing his quality of life.

Since my name was brought up in this I figured I would add my two cents and dont worry I am not mean. As I sais before I am giving you the benefit of the doubt. I am educated and opinionated just ask my fiance. He has to deal with it everyday.LOL. Ok I just wrote a long speal on how I felt but my server crashed and I lost it but obviously I am not going to get anywhere anyway but I want you to know where I am coming from. You are not the only person on here that I have done background checks on. SO dont take it to heart please. Unfortunately I trust animals more than people. People still get the benefit of the doubt as did you and still have but I can't just automatically assume everything is lovely and beautiful in the world. I see too much suffering to do that. As a rescuer I see the real world every day. I have 3 rescues of my own al who came from horrible situations. I wish I could just turn the other way sometimes but I cant. I wish you could understand where I am coming from and realize I personally am not trying to be a b*tch. But anyways I could show you pictures of what I see everyday but I cant post most of them up here. They are just to much to bear. But I can give you a link that a friend of mine who is an euthanasia technician made. It does a really good job showing the realities of the world so check it out. Maybe it will somewht help you out with where I am coming from. I am not trying to be mean or cruel but I have to look out for the welfare of animals and save as many as I can. As far as shadow hamster and tainted they were investigated one of them did have charges pressed against them and animals confiscated but all I did was give a heads up and let the authorities in that area do the rest. I have been keeping up with this whole thing, and I cant believe how crazy this has gotten!!! Just wanted to add my 2 cents..We don't know each other, but I give everyone a chance when I meet them. Im NOT going to jump on you Kao, but I just felt I had to say this. I just wanted to say, have u ever been bit by a hamster? Because I beg to differ there. Once, my hamster had just awakened and when I went to pet him, he wasn't fully awake. Well he bit me and it broke my skin bad and I was bleeding quite a bit! And it hurt for weeks I may add. Just some of the things you said, made it probably sound to other people as though you were hurting him, etc. I believe you love him and would never do anything to hurt/harm him, ok!! I just wanted to point out those 2 things, but I don't know you, and you don't know me, but I am sure u are a nice person. Rotty Mommy is an awesome person, and she rescues animals, and she feels very strongly about these issues. She doesn't take anything lightly, with any animal. Like she just stated! I just recently fostered a dog, and it is so sad to see how animals are treated out there. I want to save them all. If only there were more people out there like RottyMommy.If this is an animal lovers site, then I am sure we are ALL against any animal abuse!!! You just wanted to know something and u got jumped on by others, there were some comments said that were out of hand that everyone "took" in different ways,different opinions.

I have 2 cats.

In total I have rescued 3 cats in my life. I too think its very sad some of the things that happen out there. When I am older I would like to, if I am successful enough, build a house about the size of a 3-car garage for cats alone. And have tons of cats reside there :)

And I dont squirt him when hes sleeping, lol, just when hes eating or something, I squirt a little water on his back, and he jumps, then drinks the droplets off his fur.

I rescue any and all animals that are in serious danger or distress. I take them into my home and take care of them. I also have taken care of a stray, he never got close enough to be 'ours', but we fed him and cared for him. I dont think he would have survived without us.

Wow thats awesome you rescued 3 cats!! I have rescued 3 myself, I just want to rescue all of them, its so sad :( I don't know if you want to read it or not, but I have my story on fostering a dog in the dog forms if u scroll down. That was 3 weeks ago, and I just saw him today(one of my vets adopted him, I already have 3 dogs) hes has gained so much wieght and is doing better!! He couldn't have gone to a better home! Anyways, I don't know why I thought your hammy was sleeping? Thats a wonderful thing you would like to do later, have a place and rescue cats. My boyfriend doesn't want me to go to Petsmart alone any more, I want to bring home all the cats! It brings tears to my eyes when I see them :( At our old apartment, we had stray cats, and we fed them every day, we even named them all. A few were very friendly, we tried to take one when we moved, but she was still too scared to be picked up. I always think about those cats and miss them every day.

Just a quick update. So far so good on Oreo. She is out of surgery, and in stable condition. It took her longer than expected to come out of anestesia which was a big scare but she is awake groggy but awake. Now it is just the recovery part I am worried about. She had it removed from her elbow area which is a really hard place to heal. So I am hoping she keep her spirit up to pull through it. But atleast she is still with me for now. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers and just keep us in your thoughts here and there that she keeps her puppy spirit to pull through the recovery period. Thanks guys I really appreciate it.

And real quick about shadowhamster for the one who asked lets just say he isnt a good person but did stretch the truth alot.

I am so glad the surgery went well for Oreo, Rottymommy! Yes, that is going to take some time to heal,(like u said, especially that spot) but she has u and your fiance to take great care of her, and nurse her back to health! Oreo is the luckiest to have u both as "parents"!! :) You guys are in my thoughts and prayers:angel5:

I am so glad to hear that Oreo is doing well. The idea of such a small animal under anestesia scares me, but I am very excited that Oreo pulled through. But if I was as loved as Oreo I would fight so I could keep getting that kind of love too!
