I am a bit worried about one of my Alaskan huskies. A day ago I noticed that her stomach was a bit larger than usual, but I really didn't give it any extra thought. Last night I found that she vomited a few times and today her stomach is still larger than usual. She hasn't been moving around very much recently, and seems a little uncomforatable. When I fell her stomach it is unusually hard, not anything like extra fat, and she gives little 'sighs'. Of course I don't reallyknow if she is doing that because of discomfort, because she is a very timid little girl. Now, I called all of my vet offices and I won't be able to get her in until NEXT WEEK. I don't know what to do!
Here are a few links to some pics, if they work

Your Vet won't see your dog in a emergency situation? Bloat typically kills a dog within a short time (less than two hours). I think your dog has possibly ingested something that has cause an obstruction! PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION ASAP! In the mean time give your dog antacids (tums, gasx, etc) MAYBE its only gas but I highly doubt it. I would pack him up and show up at your Vets door appointment or not! Go to the Vet now.

A stomach being hard usually indicates gas, or bloat. Larger dogs are prone to bloat, and as Swissy says, it can get deadly very very quickly. Worst case scenario, the stomach actually twists around, and in many cases, not a whole lot can be done. Get to a vet now, don't wait-you posted 7 hours ago, so i hope that you've gotten her to a vet asap

I brought her to an emergency vet early early that morning, and it wasn't bloat. It turns out she has a rather large tumor surrounding her stomach area :(

Thank you for the replies
