OK! I went to your site! I HATE IT! I hate everything about it and what your telling people in your forum about the diet! If you knew ANYTHING you would know thats NOT the BML diet! AND you told her to take you the baby juice with yogurt!!! WHAT?!?! NO! She should NOT take that out at all! Its part of the diet! I think you need to stop giving people advice and do your own reaserch! AND WHY PLEASE TELL ME WHY YOU FEEL THAT YOU HAVE TO FEED YOUR GLIDERS DELI MEAT AND TWIZZLERS!!!???
2 Jars of fruit baby food (only if it's the 4 oz. If it is the 6 oz, then use 1)
2 Jars of veggie baby food (Same goes for this; above)
1 Jar of meat baby food (ham, turkey, beef, etc.)
1/2 cup of baby rice flakes
1/2 cup of Glider Aid
1/2 cup of apple juice
1/2 cup of honey
1 hard boil egg (yes, put the whole egg in there)
Mix everything together in a blender.
Freeze them in ice trays, and then unthaw two cubes. It depends on your glider though. If you get up to take the food out, and the bowl is empty, you need to put a extra cube in the dish
I'm sorry but i dont think i have herd of this diet? Anybody else here ever hear of this diet? Sounds like your trying to mock the BML diet in a bad way!

before u go off saying things that u obviously dont know u need to learn to read...she said it was different from the bml diet... READ!!!
hello.... my diet is a little different and i want to see what you think about it.
That is the leadbeaders i use it is different than most peoples.
and my diet is fine!! i went to www.sugarglider.net forums and everyone!! told me it was fine! this is what my breeder gave me! and my glider loves it! so maybe u should take your own advice and learn more before u try to give out anymore stupid comments!

Actually, I just went to that site and looked at all your posts, you never mentioned your "deit" and any glider owner will tell you that it is horrible!

oh and by the way miss know it all i want u to read this... this is a reply to what i posted at sugargliders.net forum...
Hmmmmmmmmm as in I'm not sure and I'm thinking.
About the calcium, I'm guessing by placing a whole egg (shell and all) there is a clacium source there. Whether or not it's enough calcium, I can't say definitively.
It's certainly a possibility that all the nutrient requirements may as well be met by all those food items outlined in that diet, and according to the poster the user of the diet has raised gliders over many genrations. There are a number of well-known suppliment-free diets out there, one of which is endorsed by Dr. Delaney-Johnson. It's all really hard to say.

Bourbon's Modified Leadbeaters (BML)
1/2 cup Honey, do not use honeycomb, raw or unfiltered honey, Most store bought Honey is the one to use unless it uses one of the three words above
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Egg (boiled or scrambled)(I Hard Boil Mine)
The shell is OPTIONAL, if your blender does NOT break the shell down into miniscule pieces do not use it.I break the egg down before putting it into the blender
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 cup of Apple Juice, just the good ole apple juice that you and I would drink, Not frozen, not baby juice, just regular bottle apple juice.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blend well, Turn off blender, add the next group of ingredients.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 4oz bottle PREMIXED Gerber juice with yogurt (Mixed Fruit or Banana)
both have yogurt mixed in, the fluid is creamy colored. For those that can not find this, you may substitute 2 oz of plain yogurt and 2 oz of mixed fruit juice
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Teaspoon of Rep-Cal HERPTIVITE vitamin suppliment ,
Blue label on a white plastic container, DO NOT SUBSTITUTE this suppliment.
(My petstore ordered it for me)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blend well again, Turn off Blender , add next group of ingredients.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 teaspoons Rep-Cal Calcium Suppliment non-phosphorus with Vit. D3 in it.
Pink label on a white plastic container (my petstore ordered it for me)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 2 1/2 oz jar of Stage 1 or 2 Heinz, Gerber or Beechnut Chicken baby food
The chicken will say either Chicken with Chicken Gravy or Chicken with Chicken Broth either is acceptable
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 cup Wheat Germ
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/2 cup dry baby cereal.. Heinz or Gerber (Mixed or Oatmeal)
(I use rice with fruit bits)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blend well , turn off blender, It should be the pour into tupperware bowl, or ice cube trays and FREEZE, 1 cube in ice cube tray is approx. 2 tablespoons. It will freeze to the consistancy of ice cream.
This will feed 1 glider for approximately 1 month.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do NOT mix the fruits and veggies in before freezing.
There are several ways to feed the BML plan. The one thing that is consistant, is that, it is designed to be fed with fruits, veggies, and insects.
The rule of thumb per glider is..
1 Tablespoon of the BML basic mix,
1 Tablespoon of fruits,
1 Tablespoon of veggies
Insects
If they eat it all the first night add a little more the next night till they leave only a little bit.
This is what i use copied right off the site... now egg yes helps with the calcium.... BUT you notice that Rep-Cal Calcium suppliment non-phosphorus with viamin D3 which is needed in this diet plan. The BEST advice that i give everybody about diets is to find a PROVEN DIET. I honestly think that the BML is the easiest and my gliders have always been on it. AND IT IS PROVEN!
As for you trying to ask me what is wrong with me... nothing really... i just hate your ignorance and then you trying to make it out like i dont know what im talking about. Every now and then i do get a little confused... it happens... i am only human. And yes i do like to think that i have some brains in there.

That is one person's opinion and he himself said he is not certain it is a decent diet without more info and more scientific research. The majority of people on that site do not believe it is a balanced diet.
I personally would not use ham or beef baby food. The ham would have too much sodium and the beef would have too much fat. I would stick with chicken or turkey. This diet does seem lacking in calcium, vitamins and protien. Also, 1/2 cup of Glider Ade doesn't make sense. Did you mean Gatoraid? If so, I do not believe that is a real good idea. If you did mean Glider Ade, was that 1/2 cup of the powder, or of the powder mixed with water?

ok but none of them said it was terrible like u guys are making it out to be..... they said they dont know!! and i know that u guys are not smarter then the people on that site... i dont care how much u try to think u are....
not only that her breeder has been breeding for years and i know she knows a lot more then u so your both are wrong!
u came at it in a bad way and made yourselfs look stupid so dont try to blame me
u guys are not doing me any good, im just going to say at the other site where i know im talking to people who know what they are talking about... and who dont act like 12 year old kids..... so this coversation is over!! find some other new owner to try and make them believe u are so kind of expect and know what your saying...(poor glider)
and as for u miss 2SugaKids the only ignorant person is u just because your stupidity gets in the way of u seeing that dont give u the right trying to correct other people... i never asked what u thought of the site but like i said kids do like to run there mouths.... im not trying to make it as anything your wrong so take it as it is maybe u can use it to improve yourself.. oh and as for this part.. Every now and then i do get a little confused...
u might want to change that because u seam to be gettting more then just a little confused.....

i agree with ladybug891989 u are acting like a 10 year old kid. I've been reading some of your posts and they are all childish u might want to start acting like a mother instead of one of your kids friends...
GlidinBy
The girl that had to get rid of her babies was not "showing them off like an idiot". Your response shows that you are immature and selfish. You care more about yourself than animals. Anyone that would sell to you is insane!
i think u should listen to her

I would like you to know that I am a member at "that other site" I have had gliders almost 10 years now and just recently had to rehome them but will be getting them back within the next month or so. I am also in vet school. They are saying they dont know about the diet because they need more info and the diet needs scientific research, but that as it looks right now, there is not enough calcium, protien, vitamins, and that some of the choices in the diet are not the best ones. Breeders are not always right. There have been many that have raised gliders on cat food or pellets, and we all know hoe these are bad for our kids, so always take what a "breeder" says with a BIG chunck of salt.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... i am a little harsh but you'll get over it. I am very strongly opinionated and express that very well through just typing, half the time i dont mean to sound so harsh but concerned and it tends to come out the wrong way. As for whatever you say about me... all i gotta say is that you talk nonsence and you dont know me only by what i post. I like to think that I do my best for ALL of my kids.
As for the diet, all diets have some kind of flaw in it... i do my best for my babies... what can i say?

Ok, I'm a little confused.... is it your (Ladybug...) site or is it someone else's? Either way... To the person who runs the site....: Your site is a bit misleading...it has a diet, however good you may think it is, it is not proven by a Glider nutritionalist. There are more, proven diets out there that you should have on there as an option, like Zookeepers, (the real) BML, Insectivore etc. People like choices! You should have a fact sheet with things like, what kind of wire for a cage, toy reccomendations, common health problems, bonding information things like that. Things that can help others learn, not just your experiences with your one glider. I have 5- going on 8 gliders and mine are all completley different from one another, one experience doesnt apply to every single glider. And one more thing, i would put links to other sites(forums) like Glider Central, The Sugar Glider Board, Sugar Glider Sanctuary, Animal Craze...etc and toy/pouch vendors such as GliderDayDreams.com, LuckyYou-Gliders.com and others. These are just some suggestions, do not take them as harsh criticism, or let it offend you- not my intentions.
Hope this will help you out some :)

I dont care whos right, i think the post was very harsh, childish, & uncalled for. Thats NOT how you help someone learn!!!!
If their wrong & you have the rigth answer, whats wrong with telling them in a polite fashion. This is why people shy away from getting good info that could help their animals out greatly! I think people on forums need to relax & learn some manners.
I dont care if your opinionated, i am as well, but that is no excuse for you to be overly rude.
Good luck with your hunt for better information to add to your site.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me via messenger or email I would be more than happy to help..in a kind fashion.=]
