Fire Bellied Newt (vacation)

I don't have any newts, but I might get some. I was wondering, that if you go away for 1 or 2 weeks, can you just leave some guppies in there? or should you have someone come over and feed it?

Someone should check on them every couple of days and feed them. This should be easy since the whole set-up can usually be taken to the "sitters" house... :-)
