Hello!

Its the first time I've been on this forum and no, i don't have a hamster but my friend does.

We were talking about animals and she said that she feeds her hamster ham. Now, I never really thought that they ate meat, so I'm wondering, is she taking good care or her hamsterS?

ham, if it is lean, is a good occasional treat. hamsters require protein in their diet, especially young ones and lactating moms. lean meats can be a good source. :) however, the hamster does need a high quality hamster mix or lab block plus other foods as well.
