..the bars of a cage which are approx 1.5cm apart?
He's pretty small, and I'd like to put him in a different cage but I'm worried he'll somehow manage to squeeze himself out of the bars.
He's about this big:

And I'm thinking about putting him in here maybe as he needs some extra space til I can get add ons for his current cage. If that makes sense lol. I'm just worried he might squish through!

Here's another pic on my hand in case it helps lol (and you can see his little cage behind- the other one is about the same size but with an extra level instead of just one floor)

Well, Opie squeezed through a TINY hole that I thought he could only get his head through. Then when he got to his hips, he was struggling, but then he managed to get through. Then he did it again, easier this time! So, be carefull... :/

Yeah that's what I'm worried about PetLuver- I know that once they get their head through, the rest of their body is a piece of cake!
I think I will put him in there tonight and watch him for a while so that I can take a guess at whether he'll manage it.
It really would be the end of the world if I lost him, he's so damn small I would never ever find him. Was hard enough finding my Syrian when he escaped!
On another note, I put him in the hamster ball last night and he's so small that he couldn't manouvre it about LOL. So I went out and bought him a special mini dwarf ball today. Bless him, so tiny!

I have 5 different dwarf balls I'll have to take a picture some time. It's funny to see them bang into one another. 5 balls was my limit though after 5 I couldn't keep very good track of them.
So descenting them constantly can be a pain :(

I had 23 balls and a dwarf hamster for everyone at one point. I just blocked off and area and let them go crazy.

Lol! Wow, I don't think I'd be able to cope with 23 balls all at once, I think I'd have a nervous breakdown. Gah! :D

I have a huge kitchen! it's easy to block it off and the kitchen floor has better grip for them. Although they likes hitting the stove and scaring the crap outta me.

My kitchen has an island stly bar that makes it difficult. I hear you all animals and kids I think like to scare people. You're pregnant right Tia? JUst want until it's your kid in their walker running full bore at the stove boncing of and repeating. That will scare you (even though it is amusing once you relize the walker keeps them form getting hurt, but scry none the less)
