Hi Everyone!

wow...I haven't been on in awhile! anywayz..whats the longest car ride you've takin your hamster on? my family is driving to wisconsin..it's about 2 days worth of driving and we stop at atleast two hotels and MANY MANY rest stops along the way..I've been debating on whether or not to bring along my little syrain Hope. She is a joy to my family and would probabley make a great new companion for my grandma (my grandpa passed away of a sudden heart attack last month, so it was hard on her :( ) we'd stay there for about 2 weeks at her house...the drive back..so this is why i'm asking the question. Should I or no?

I'd have her cage covered with a ventilated fabric to block sun and drafdts, I'd have her in a reduced size bin cage with her igloo, wheel, etc. I'd put a pillow beneath her (or a pallet type thing) to reduce bumps and stuff...and I'd have a cooler full of extra water and hydrating fruits/veggies. and anything else I would need to bring.oh! and also her little ball to run around the hotel room for a little bit how does it sound?

thanks for anyone who answers!

-Haley

I don't know much about hamsters, but that sounds safe enough to me. :p

I used to always bring my hamster to my dad's house on the weekends with a smaller cage, and he did perfectly fine.

Just bring some wet-tail medicine incase the hammie gets sick, and some other medicinal supplies.

You sound like a good owner to me! -propeller

It's safe to take your ham just make sure the car is cool enough for her and she has a lot of water. She should be fine :)
