My Hammie Is Going To The Vet On Saturday! What Should I Keep Him In On The Drive?

yeah..its like a 7 minute drive from my house to the vets office. should i just keep in my hands or should i find some sort of container for him to be in?

Definitely a container! Well, I mean a carrying cage. Like Kritter Keeper.

But make sure that you have his bedding that he pooed and peed on because the vet may want to analyze his poop.

i dont have a kritter cage though. and why the heck would he want to analyze his poop? he will be checking for mites or mange.

I have the exact same one as u Munkie :) Mines in use right now, one of my females are in heat and being vicious to the other one, so I simple put it in there for the time being. I'm too lazy and fat to drag my pregnant butt under the stairs for a cage.

okay i will. question. why would the vets want to analyse his urine and poo if they're only looking for mange or mites????

The vet might want to see if he has something else wrong with him or some kind of mites might be attracted to the poo or something...

Vets like to analyz every possibility if it's not mites or mange.

When i tock my Hammie to the vets the first time i tock her in her cadge(really big)so that the vet could check everything.Make sure you take some food and water for your hammie:) Let us know how it goes :p

... could you not just take her in her cage? that way the vet can look at her living conditions and check the cage is not causing the issue... you;d be suprised... mine asks to see rocky in her cage as often as possible... for check ups i stuff her ball with fluffy bedding and just sneak her out of her bedroom when she's asleep... she doesnt care so long as there is food lol
