around my hamsters mouth her fur looks dark and clumped together. and it looks like its wet tail but by her mouth should i be worried? i think it might be that shes drinking slopyly, but she alway used to groom herself and make her coat realy shiny. o and her bottom is nice and die like normal.

It wouldn't be anything I'd be concerned about at the moment, sometime the water bottle drips on them and other times they drool when they sleep..hehe.

i know what it is LOL gave me a heart attack when my hamsters did it for the first time!
Hamsters, like dogs cannot sweat to cool down and they aren't likely to pant with their tongue out like a dog. Their way of cooling down is to drool down their body out the corner of their mouths.
They also do this when they are stressed out...

well me and my brother put a camera by her cage and we found out what caused it. she was trying to escape! she would run up to the water bottle and grap the metal part that she drinks from. then she'd pull ( or at least try to) her she up and her face would hit the ball thing and water would come out. and she was persistant and did this for about 30 min., she was diong this for 2 days before i made this thread and up util yesterday but last night she desided not to.
thanks everyone!
