My hammie Mahala keeps knocking her food dish over. I was filling it lastnight and i put it in its normal place and lowered it into the bedding so she wouldn't knock it over if she was to jump on it. I turned my back for a brief moment, she had already had the bowl flipped over and food all over the place. Does anyone else have this problem?

:) Heya.Nah my hamster never seemed to do that.Is the dish a big one?In tallness,it might be hard for your hammie to get her food:confused: I dunno maybe it likes its food everywhere as its easyier for him/she to get to it.Maybe try a smaller bowl.:)
R.I.P Baba dec 04-june 06 love you forever baby x

PLastic dished are easier for them to tip over. You may want to try a ceramic dish they're heavier

how about not using a food dish? it makes no difference for the hamster, they dont care if it's in a dish or not LOL if you scatter the food then they have to search for it, gives them something to do!

Haha! lol, If its wide, heavy and not too tall then it can't be nocked over, just scatter it around and forget the bowl. Its more natural for them, they have to find it, just like in the wild!!
