Rusty's new tank is ready!

We went out last night, after we got the 2.5 gallon plastic tank, and got a 5 gallon set up....and of course, a new friend for rusty....ok, so here are pics of my mom's set up fish.

OK, in the first pic up there, that is Chief White Cloud(you can see him in this one too! Rusty is at bottom right)...and this is a pic of the Temp tank I got her, and the new one!

just one....y? should we get more? The pet store guy said they should be in 3's, but I didn't want to overfill mom's 5 gallon.....

Ooo!! You have a cambodian female! You should get maybe another white cloud. I like the decor. Its the same style as my goldy tank.

Is that what she is...I just knew it was a white cloud...isn't more than 2 fish in a 5 gallon a bad idea? Mom said it sounds like an indian name....that's why she named it Chief White Cloud! lol

lol. Yeah it is a lot for one tank but I think they need to be in at least pairs. If your cambodian wasnt veltail she would be worth a lot.

will she die if I do not have 6 more? I guess I will return her.....I thought you guys said tetras, so that's what I told pet store guy, and that's what he suggested that could survive NOT in a school. :confused:

Get another female betta. That would be your best bet.

no, cause female bettas should be grouped in 3 or more....4 is preferable...one on one and they will fight. I already asked about that and checked into it...

My sister had 2 females and they never fought. It really depends on your betta. Is she aggressive. If not she might not fight. If you get 3 (which she has now) its really fun to watch because they will start leaping for food. They only leap for her finger and not mine...:(
I think danios have to be in schools but they get along with bettas.

she doesn't seem aggressive, she and blondie get along gr8 so far....i think my mom has enough fish for now....she is actually scared of them, so this is a big step for her!! lol

Yeah. She stepped on one and ever since she has been scared, but stepping on a slug is a pretty tramatic thing. lol.

ok, since blondie is no longer with us, we are gonna top the tank back up.....I do not think she saved the water she dumped out yesterday, so I might as well do a water change for her.....today or tomorrow?

S'okay, I found it. I am very sorry for your loss. I would definitely bawl my eyes out if one of the golds or US died. I used to bawl my eyes out when the ghost shrimp died! I refuse to keep them anymore because they die so fast.

ya, it was sadder than seeing a regergatated rabbit in my snakes tank! (of course that was just disgusting and sad at the same time :yuck: )
