Cute little kitten!

Well meet Grande! This little man was found in the middle of the road last night around where i live by a friend of mine. I rushed him right into the animal ER and got to pick him up this morning. After a very large vet bill we dont have too much information.

He has no feeling in his right front leg, and has numerous bloody spots on his leg, body, face, and paw. It looks like road rash but no one is sure. The vet took xrays and did all the good test, he is on antiboitics and had IV fluids but is still pretty skinny. He is eating on his own though, and drinking and is litter trained despite the leg! He is neg for luek and aids and I think all the flea's are gone!

The vet said to wait a few days or a week, see if anything changes with the leg. I am afraid it's going to be amputated though, as he has no feeling or nerve feeling that we can tell.

He is such a good lil man, full of love, and kisses!! He is looking for a home, I am in the Southern NY area, but he will need a special home! If interested you can email me for an application, but i'm going to be extremly tough, and he may just stay with me.

Anyway wanted to introduce, and get some prayers that this little guy will be ok its going to be a tough next couple days!

Why don't you keep him! lol. I want to take an every animal I can get but my mom won't let me! Its really annoying, cause I keep thinking about that animal, how it can get run over by a car or something might happen to it. I just saw a really small kitten running around last night, but it ran away from me. I was kinda bummed. I would take it but, or course, I can't because my mom wouldn't let me. Good luck though!!!

So basically it looks like someone threw him out of a moving car? Wow, poor baby! I hope he has a speedy recovery and heals with no additional problems.

I'd adopt him as a friend for Kismet, but it would be impractical to bring an animal from NY to here when there's kittens everywhere. Good luck finding him a home.

I know exactly how you feel, but I always told myself once I paid my own bills I could save as many as I wanted.

Yesterday I found a blue heeler pup with what looked like a broken leg so I took him to the local shelter. With moving soon I couldnt afford to take him to the vet because all my money has to be saved for the long drive to vegas and to pay our 1st months rent at our new condo. But the shelter will take care of him, he was such a great pup I am sure he will find a loving home.

Yes, he is doing well. The leg seems to get in his way more then anything, but i want to give it ample time to see if it could start working again.

Unfortunatly i can't save them all, but i can save a few! I would keep him but i have a full house, and would prefer a good home that can dedicate time and love to him. He is ok with my dogs and my other cat, there used to the "new kids" on the block comming in.

If it wasn't for people like us they would all die, were very lucky and so are they!

And believe me once you have your own place, and control the amount of animals you have you must MUST have self-discipline!!

Choas, I do wish you were closer, i know you would give him a good home, and even with gas prices i could actually justify driving him up there...........I hate kitten season!!!

Awwe. he is so beautiful. I wish you were closer too, I've worked with cats with disabilities before, it is very challenging and rewarding experience. Chances are he wont use his paw again but he will do fine with 3 legs, if it's just getting in the way it's time to amputate. It's the best thing for him. I hope you find someone close to you.

I definitely would take him if I could...we'll actually be up near NY not too long from now, but there's no way my parents would say yes. Of course, I'll ask anyway :D. It's going to be no though. I hope you find someone good to take him in!
