How old does a baby parakeet have to be before you can pick it up??

^ if you know please tell me. My aunts birds had a baby and he's getting feathers now. This isnt the first time I've had baby parakeets because i was there the day my bird Milo hatched and then I've held him since he was small so he's really tame but I can't remember how many weeks/days old they have to be.

if he's starting to get feathers then you can pick him up. i'm not too sure of the age limit myself, but i personally never picked any of my budgie chicks up before they started getting feathers, for fear of damaging their skin. so yes, i think it would be fine to pick him up now.
